Moon is the one with an idea that survives past the first screen. The moon itself sits on the page, not only on the cover, and **every section is marked by a phase** — drawn from one piece of geometry, so the small markers beside each heading and the large moons on the vote are the same body at different sizes.
The walk is built outward from the reply, which is always the full moon, because that is the one thing the page is asking for. So the page waxes toward it and wanes away again, whichever sections you have switched on.
Sixty-four stars drift at a fraction of the scroll rate — not fixed, which would be another design's trick, but slower than the page, which is what makes moving down it feel like travelling. The cover is the only full moon in the template, and it opens by going out: a shadow crosses the screen while the moon wanes beneath it.
